The mess cooks for the right number
Residents switch off meals they won’t eat, until a time you set. Those out in the gate register are taken off by themselves. The cook gets the count for every meal, and you see the cost per plate.

Set up boys’ and girls’ floors with any sharing. Residents can stay by the week, month, term or year, and each one’s fees, deposit and dues are worked out for you.

Police verification for every resident
Nivaas fills the tenant police verification form from each resident’s details, prints it or saves it ready for the police website, and shows who is not reported yet and what is still missing.

Hostel questions
Running a hostel with Nivaas
Does it work for a girls’ hostel or a boys’ hostel?
Yes. Each floor can be for boys, girls or both, and rooms can have any sharing. Nivaas only offers a resident beds on floors that suit them.
Can the warden use it from a phone?
Yes. The warden’s Android app connects to the hostel PC over its own Wi-Fi for the gate register, fees, complaints and photos. Each warden or guard signs in with their own PIN and sees only their work.
Does the hostel management software need internet?
No. It runs offline on the hostel’s PC. The internet is only used to send WhatsApp messages and to get new versions.
Can residents see their fees and the mess menu?
Yes, with the tenant app add-on. Each resident scans their own QR code and sees what they owe, pays by UPI, reports problems and sees the menu, on any phone on the hostel’s Wi-Fi.
We keep everything in Excel today. Can we move?
Yes. Bring your residents in from an Excel or CSV file; installation and setup includes this. If your records are on paper, we can enter them for you, quoted for your hostel.
